Information on conformity in accordance with the Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsgesetz; BaFG)

Version: June 2025
In order to make this information easier to read, we have refrained from using both the masculine and feminine forms of language. All person-related language is intended to refer to all genders.

Declaration on accessibility

All people should be able to use products and services without restrictions, for example via digital channels (e.g. website). This is called "barrier-free use". The rules for this are in a law. In Austria, the law is called the Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsgesetz) and is abbreviated to BaFG.

We are committed to making our websites accessible.

We would like to ensure that all our services covered by law are accessible.

Accessibility requirements:

We follow the European Standard EN 301 549, which specifies accessibility for information and communication technology - version 3.2.1. We also follow the rules of the "World Wide Web Consortium" organization, called W3C. These rules are known as the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines" or simply WCAG. Our goal is the WCAG 2.2 AA conformance level.

Information about our banking services (information sheets) generally describes how our services work and are easily accessible here:
When someone signs a service contract, they receive information and explanations about our banking services. These are necessary to understand how we provide our services and are also discussed in detail with the customer advisor.

3. General accessibility requirements for all services

3.1 We ensure the products we use for our services are accessible

Bank Gutmann Aktiengesellschaft (Bank Gutmann) currently does not use any of the products concerned for its services.

3.2 Accessible information about our banking services:

We provide the necessary electronic information - information sheets - in an accessible manner:
The information is available through more than one sensory channel.

You can read information about our banking services (links in point 2.) or have it read aloud by screen reader. People with disabilities use this technology to access content through screen reader software or Braille lines. The documents have been specially prepared and tagged for screen readers.

Content without text has alternatives that do not require vision. For example, photos, symbols and graphics have alternative texts. Headings, lists, tables and content areas are also specially marked up.

The information is well-structured for supporting technologies. For example, headings and bulleted points are marked as lists.
The customer advisor reads information on paper aloud. If needed, we can also send this information to the customer electronically so that they can use a screen reader.

The information is presented in an understandable way

Bank Gutmann presents the information in understandable language and in a clear content structure. Technical terms, abbreviations and unusual expressions are avoided and/or explained as far as possible.
The documents are clearly structured. They contain meaningful and well-structured headings and labels.

The information is presented in a way that it can be perceived by the user

Font, contrasts, line spacing: The font type, size and form ensure good readability. Texts and visual content have clear contrasts. Texts are displayed with sufficient spacing between lines.

3.3 Websites, their online applications and mobile services like apps are designed for users to perceive content, operate them, understand information, and trust the technology

Color-dependent information has color-independent alternatives. For example, the applications display status with both visuals and text. The same applies to warnings and delivery notifications.

For non-text content, alternatives exist that do not require sight. For example, the website provides alternative texts for photos, symbols and graphics. Videos contain an audio track that describes important visual content (audio description).
